While I am not opposed to "patina," (I built a 49 International for my dad that has the rat rod look http://www.southwestv8.com/pics/other/jb_intl/intl.htm), I just think they ruin it when they spray a shiny coat of clear on it....

I hate that patina look fad, looks good on old rat rods, but why try and put it on everything???

The crazies have been quiet down here for a while. Who wouldn't want to drive around in this?

I'm always amazed at what some people spend on these vehicles and then try to sell them to try and get some of that money back. Who would want a Fat Albert El Camino!
I like where he states that the lambo doors have chipped the paint at the jambs.
Also, it is good that he has removed the tv screen from the tail-gate and put the license plate holder back in. I guess you could just put a picture of your tag on the tv!

What a joke!

I for one just can't imagine how they could possibly build a car like that, then decide to sell for like $5000-7500. You know there's a lot more money than that tied up into the car, even if the work was less than stellar.

He can't take it to jail with him and needs the money. I bought a RAIV intake-with crossover and dated to fit my heads, for $100, under those circumstances.

RAIV parts were real conversation pieces for the Jail Cell Diggs, eh? JK!

Most of the times I see one of these "Fat Albert" jalopy creations they remind me of someone trying to hide illegal $$$ in something that can't be claimed on tax forms, etc. if you catch my drift?

Here's the latest offering. Should be an option to anyone's needs!

http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/cto/4264544124.html
72 gto clone -lemans sport - $3400 (hudsonville)

image 1image 2
1972 pontiac lemans gto tempest manual transmission

I am offering this car a few different ways.
For 3400 you can buy this car with no motor or transmission. the paint on this car is the worst i have ever seen. it will need new quarters and a trunk floor. the rally wheels pictured are not included.
10-bolt posi 3.73 rear end. the ram air hood is worth 1800 all by it's self.

For 4,000 you can buy it with all of the 4 speed stuff in it.

For 4500 you can buy it with a 73 400 that needs a rebuild.

For $6,500 i will sell it with the 70 400 that has 450 hp that is currently in the car and running. I prefer to keep the motor thats in the car though.

. for the 3400 you get just a rolling shell nothing else. no motor no trans no clutch pedals. this car is very photogenic again it needs a total restoration. the car needs quarters and a trunk floor.
The car is worth alot more in parts and I may consider parting it out.

I got excited after reading that, but was really disappointed when I clicked on the link. I've owned cars with worse paint than that!
