1970 Ram Air IV Engine Complete
For sale is a complete carb-to-pan 1970 Ram Air IV engine sourced from and built by Jim Taylor Engine Service in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. The build took in excess of 20 months to complete. JTES documents indicate that all parts are “absolutely factory (PMD) produced and codes are 1970 correct," "assembled to 100% show quality.”
Block is an E-28-0 service replacement which has Pro-Gram Engineering billet main caps installed. Crank is hand-stamped Arma Steel 9794054. #614 heads are both dated E041, also SR. Carb is #7040270 WA, dated 3049. Distributor is 1112011, dated 9G9. A reproduction intake and crossover were used. The work order is 4-pages long and shows nearly $4000 in machine work, $12000 in core charges, and $4500 in parts and accessories. Engine was run-in on break in stand at JTES and has zero miles since. Work order and pictures of engine build included. Asking $18,500 or best offer.

I have dealt with Matt and in my opinion he is an honest and knowledgeable guy FWIW. Had i not built my IV prior I would have been interested in this one. Mark

Tazzz2 - this engine was originally destined for a concours restoration so it was not dyno'd to my knowledge. The invoice indicates that the TRW forged pistons were milled .030 and also notes "compression blueprint" so pump gas is not a problem.
