He is saying that he has an unstamped one, that could be stamped to look like anything you want or need.

Joe

Gary here in Tulsa says he probably has several and is willing to sell you one; he asked that you PM him, he's on the road right now.

If so, that is the Happy re-stamper. He now has a couple of user names on ebay. Funny how he keeps coming up with these very rare starters. That is fine if you are just looking for the correct number.(Done quite well I might add) However, he is getting top dollar for the stamp jobs. I guess the same thing was happening early on with the restamped carbs though.

After I realized who was selling it,I too was very suspicious so I sent photos to several people with original starters for opinions and they all agreed this one was 100% original. You are the first one to say it is not.Curious to know why you think that.

I am not trying to be a wise guy Joe. I really do not want to get into the details about what is right and wrong with stampings here. PM or call me sometime.

So?

Scott Tiemann has stated, in writing, that he is OK with restamped blocks.

I suppose if the number on the outside of the starter matters, have at it.

Otherwise, an identical starter nose, purchased from suppliers like IPM and stamped with the correct stamps, accomplishes the same end.
