Default Judge wing nuts - painted?

The nuts that hold the Judge wings onto the deck lids -are they painted body color or are they black phosphate? I guess the real questios is when were the wings attached during the painting cycle? It makes sense to me that the deck lid and wing were painted separately and then put together.

Pretty sure they were NOT body color from the factory.

Default I'm thinking they were gold cad plated.

I know they weren't black and pretty sure they weren't silver cad plated.

But, then again, it's been about twenty years since I saw a virgin Judge spoiler 'in the wild'.

I believe those are called flange nuts. With the serrations on the bottom, they might be called self-locking flange nuts.
