Take a look at the color chip chart for '61 Pontiacs at www.autocolorlibrary.com.
There are three pages there, on the second and third pages it has info on the interior colors.

The paint codes given are probably obsolete by now but hopefully you can get them cross-referenced to modern paint.

do you have any of the parts with the orig. paint on them??? If so you can have them color matched, like the inside of the glove box, the reveal molding from the top of the dash, the window moldings are the same as the dash color. The only other color that is used is the two metal pieces on each side of the back seat. That is the same color as the top of the dash except that it is gloss instead of matte finished.

Inside the glove box door is a good place for a paint match. It shouldn't be faded.

Thanks guys, the metal has been painted twice, there is nt a place that i have been able to find the original color. Every piece of metal must have been stripped at one time or another.

That's unusual for someone to have covered all the painted areas unless the car was dipped. How about under/inside the dash. Have you removed the dash trim, any door panels or the trim panels?
