Got an intake manifold question... I have a 1955 pontiac chieftain, and it has the 287.2 cid engine. I was wondering where i could get a new intake manifold that would support either 1 or 2 4bbl carbs. If there is a place that sells them new, please post. Thanks

The 55's were available with a 4-bbl. The 55-56-57 4-bbl intakes should work on your 55.

Do you mean a NOS stock intake or a aftermarket intake like a Edelbrock, Holley, etc?

bodie, PAW was still listing an Offy low profile dual quad manifold for the '55-'64 Pontiacs in thier 97 catalog. Part number OFF-5162. Works with AFBcarbs only-no Holleys whatsoever-not even sideways." They also listed a couple of different Offy tri-power manifold for '55 thru '60 Pontiacs.
