Someone else will surely pitch in here but I don't think any of the 60 parts will work with a '62 except possibly the bell housing and transmission. I think '61-'64 full size bell housings were the same and know '61-'62 z-bars, linkages etc. were the same (actually '61 and '62 full size are identical cars except for some exterior sheet metal). The transmission in a hearse should be the T-85 heavy duty three speed and those were used in Pontiacs from '58-'63. It should have a really long tail housing and shares the same main case with the t-10 four speed. It has a nine bolt side cover like the t-10. If you get the car wnd take the linkage off please don't throw the idler assembly bolted to transmission away. It probablt isn't worth much but it is really rare.
I'm restoring a three speed column shift '61 and it took me 2 1/2 years to find that idler assembly. |

The 60 bellhousing will fit 55-60 and that's it.
