FOR SALE 69 Catalina LOW miles Nice
FS a very nice 1969 2 door Catalina. This car has only 53K miles on it !
Long story short I was working on this for a retired member of our armed forces. Unfortunately he is now in China until 2018 ( his wife works for the state dept) and has chosen to sell rather than store & or complete. He asked me to list it for him. The body is very nice, no body rust ! The is some in the lower RS corner of the backlight, someone chalked it over so I cant say how big it its, but was told its not big. There is also a scrape on the RS lower door from loading on a car trailer. and a scratch on the DS door. There will be some body work done, dings from it almost 50 years. None are major. Last month a strong wind gust caught the hood while the car was being moved. The safety catch didn't hold and the LS hinge spring broke. The back corner on the hood was bent. Please see pictures. Hinges have been replaced with a nice set off a low mileage car, but the hood will need some work. Chrome is good, Trunk floor solid. All the interior is there, but much had be removed to do work on the car. Ft seat is thorn on DS. All electrical items work. Original 400 2 bl motor runs perfect. I also installed a new NAPA battery. The idea was to convert to a HO car and most of the parts needed had been purchased and go with the car. I had replaced the rear with a 3.42 geared open rear from an HO car. New shocks and brakes were also in stalled. New BF Goodrich tires go with it that will soon be mounted. Most items on the option list pictured go with the car. Still love to sell this car and free up a parking space...............all offers considered.....Hard to fine a more solid drivable car at this price, great for spring , plus so many options !
