69 fbird resto completed 2 years ago...sometimes at low speed cornering or take off I hear what seems to be a "pop" noise at the rear...what should I check?...rear body mounts? leafs mounts? shock mounts? anyone experience this?

I would check the brake drum self-adjusting stars.I have had 2 cars do the same thing and eventually found that the adjusters were wore out and allowing the brakes to grab and pop.Usually it would happen after backing up and taking off, or a low speed turn.Good luck

Try disconnecting the sway bar and see if it goes away. I'm not suggesting you leave it off... just see if the pop goes away. If it does then you have a little bit of info to help you chase it down.

I just upgraded to a 1" rear sway bar from BMR Fabrication. After making the neccessary modifications to accomodate the 1" bar and geting it all mounted and tight, I now get a popping noise as well. I'm still trying to chase it down. It happens when the tries to "lean" towards the driver side.

no sway bar...my bet is the brakes like theyman suggests...I'll find out

A bad axle bearing can pop when turning. Check for up and down play at the flange end of your axles.
