I'm no expert, but since nobody replied.I believe the paint is sucked up through the tube thru venturi{sp?] action. If you are getting bubbles in the can it sounds like the nozzle is clogged. It might need a gooog cleaning.

That's what I'm thinking too. May be too late to help it but take it completely apart. You'll probably find some parts cloggled and/or covered with paint and/or primer.

I'd say take it all apart and let it soak permanently in the garbage can!
There's no substitute for having a good gun. I was a completely novice painter.(and still am). First try: Bought a cheap flea market gun and got a crap paint job. Second try: bought a $200 Devilbiss and got a good paint job I actually got compliments on. You don't want to be fighting worn out needles, bad packing, leaking seals etc. After putting all your time effort and money on the body, don't cheap out on a gun when it's time to finish it (even if it's the only car your going to spray, I justify it by comparing how much it would cost to have the paint done by a shop once) Here's a great site for painting and spray gun info (it's the PY of the paint world forum!) http://autobodystore.com/forum/index.php |

I finally got myself a fairly inexpensive Finish Line set off eBay and it's head and shoulders above the $20 gun I had been using for primer.

I agree that the $5.00 gun should be trashed. The Finish Line is a good low cost good. You can get very good results with it.

Get the Finish Line gun. I painted a set of ground effects black for my dodge ram and they turned out great, or at least I think so.
