Just joined the racks of the G8ers
Just picked this up. 2008 G8 GT. 56,000 miles and bone stock. Clean as heck.
6.0 liter (364 CI) aluminum L76 LS. HD 6 Speed automatic (6L80) trans.
Going to have fun with this one. I want to enhance the power but do everything I can to maintain 87 octane use. Power and MPG, BABY!!!

Now don't be hatin', LOL. Thanks David. I've wanted one since they first came out but could not afford a new one. Now they are in my wheelhouse and I found a nice low mileage one to buy. I'm going to enjoy I as long as I can. I'm retired and only average about 5,000 miles a year on my car (I have a truck that gets a coupe of miles here and there). So it can last a while.

Me too. Can you give me a ballpark on what you had to spend here (so I know how long I need to save up)?

I paid $20,000. Pretty close to the top of the scale but the owner is an Afghanistan Veteran so I have no problem giving a little more for a little payback for everything he's done for me. But still that is not really out of line since the car is relatively low miles and in very good condition.

20K for that mileage is a decent deal. Especially if its clean and stock.
Thinking of keeping it stock or adding some extras to it?

I will play but slowly and discretely, HEH! I can never keep a car stock. I want to adding power while improving gas mileage but staying with 87 octane gas. Just to see what I can do with it. That means also keeping the DoD. I read somewhere that there may be a DoD friendly upgrade cam put in there. But have yet to find it.

Yea there are a few. We don't get into the cam stuff, but you know where to find the rest of the parts

Reviving an old post. Just picked up an '09 v/6 G8 to be my (wife's) daily driver. It is getting hard to find any low mileage Pontiacs other than G6s. I did find a few low mileage G8 GXPs but those are all priced way out of sight.
The one I bought has 55K miles and every option available on a v6 car. I'm going to keep my G/P for a winter car so this car should keep me in Pontiacs for quite a while yet.
