Default WTB AMT 1962 Catalina Kit

Before I resort to Ebay, does anyone here have a kit they would like to sell? I am looking for the 1962 Catalina kit from AMT. The one with the blue car on the cover. Does not need to be sealed, only complete. This kit will be built. Please post or PM with price and shipping cost.

Thanks - Kevin

Did you check Wal-Mart or your local hobby shops? It's been a few years but I did pick one up at WM, seems like it'd still be a current #. If not they seem fairly cheap on ebay, here's one for $8.00: http://cgi.ebay.com/62-Pontiac-Catal...3%3A1|294%3A50
Good luck!

Default Not a current kit

Steve,

Thanks for the link. Before I started looking online, I called the local hobby shop and the kit is out of circulation. I was told that this kit is from 1998. The $8.00 kit most likely will be over $20.00 by the time I win it and have it shipped ($9.00 on that auction). I have been watching ebay for a couple weeks now and I will find one eventually. I just thought that I would try here first since I already tried to support my local hobby shop. The kit is to be a birthday present to my Dad. He is getting bored at 72 and is looking for ways to pass the time. He had ordered and bought a brand new '62 Cat convert so he wants to do a replica.

Thanks - Kevin

I should have a 62 Catalina kit with blue car on the box. I think it is a 421 SD car. Still sealed in the plastic.
Email me

thepontiacman@yahoo.com

I have many other model kits and some diecast available.

Not sure how long you want to wait, but this kit will be re-issued and out by Sept. '09. Of course it will probably be around $15.00 at re-issue. You'll probably get it cheaper by searching.

I can look in my stash to see if I have an extra one. I'll be in Downers Grove mid April to visit my wife's family. Is that close enough to svae on the shipping?

Smile Purchased Kit

Thanks for all the replies, however, I purchased a kit back in April from a fellow PY member. My bad for not posting.

Thanks again - Kevin
