My '62 convert has a dead AC. Are these old units just a money hole with modest performance or are they easily brought back from the dead? The pump was in the trunk when I bought the car. Do the inside units remove cleanly or will there be a big hole needing non AC pieces to patch the hole? I guess I could keep the parts to change my mind, but I'm going simple on this one to keep unrewarding expenses down and the air may have to go. Thanks: Fred A

I had the under dash unit and when removed there are a few holes in the radiator support and the fire wall. Other then that there will be no evidence of ever having AC. Pat
