I think he is trying to say that the green 73 sd that sold was 125 was to much money. And the red 74 4spd at 95 or whatever was to much money and that the blue auto 74 he sold at Mecum was a good car for the money. At least I think thats what he is trying to say.

IMO

The green 73 was sold cheap. I saw that car and would have bought it if I did not already have a green car. The blue 74 that was sold at Mecum was a nice car but 52k was all the money on that car.

A quilt???

Greg flips one 74 TA and now he is an expert on SD TA values?

I have seen Dick's red 74. It is a nice car.

His choice to not sell it for the high bid is simply his choice, nothing more, nothing less.

Why does Greg need to know what Chuck paid for his car?

Sounds a bit intrusive to me.

That blue POS 74 I got? I paid 13000. I will be the first to admit I paid probable 5k to much for it but I liked the color combo and since I plan on keeping so decided it was worth it.

It was the quilt statement that I didn't understand. I was around when this car was being assembled by Dick and I can tell you that there were no grey haired old women quilting anything. Only an enthusist putting his heart and soul into it because he enjoys these cars so much.

I'm glad he's keeping it. That way I'll get to see it more often and enjoy it for what it is. A damn nice example of a very rare muscle car.

Where are you going to find another SD for 13K? Sounds like a decent deal to me!

Brew - I'm guessing you've already got a "quilt" just like me. Sounds like anything thats been restored or not original qualifies regardless of how hard you've tried. Oh well, to each his own. I going to bed now and quilt or no quilt, I'll sleep just fine. Good night all!
