Question 8.2" 4.33 gearsets . . .

Hey guys:

I've been asked to run an idea past some of my Pontiac friends.

A well-known and respected company is considering reproducing the 4.33 gearsets for the traditional Pontiac ('64-'72) 8.2" diff. An early estimated selling price is $425.00 per set, with the possibility of a discount for those who pre-order and pay a deposit up-front.

The raw forgings will be of US manufacture, using US steel. All machining and heat treating will also be done stateside.

The fellow who contacted me is saying that it would only be considered a feasible project if he can get a minimum of 50 gearsets pre-sold. They would plan to manufacture about 100 sets if they get the 50 pre-sales.

Lemme know what y'all think, and I'll pass it along.
