421 HO engine
Looking for advise as to what cam and make I should I buy for my motor. I’m boring the motor about .40 and would like to stay with a HO cam. Motor is original just want to beef it up a little and be able to drive ever day and enjoy. Have the original 093 HO heads too.
Thank you |

This is an Ultradyne Cam I ran in my 66 421 HO 9 passenger wagon. It was wonderful. Smooth idle, lots of vacuum, smooth enough idle for AC. Ran 14.61@ 96 MPH at almost 5000 lbs. My car had a 400 Turbo and a 3.42 gear. I would guestimate 20 or so HP better than an 068.

Thanks Mike for the information sounds good. I will contact them if I decide. Appreciate your help.
What’s a cam like that going for? I would imagine over $200. |

Less than $200.00 for a flat tappet cam last time I bought one. Just got a SBF cam from them. Something like $160.00-180.00 to my door as I recall. Nothing crazy. Tim is a little hard to reach on the phone. Be patient and leave a message if you have to. Good luck. Google Bullet Racing Cams. They bought Ultradyne when Harold Brookshire passed. Tim worked for Harold for decades.

I can jump in on this also,If getting custom pistons you only need to bore enough to clean up the bore.Tom
