If your dealing with 67 and up D port heads then what port size increase’s are you using above the 1.60” throat that your blowing thru port walls?

Actually, where have you been grinding thru on the failed heads?

A 1.800” throat along with a 5.65 wall circumference should not be a problem.

My sonic tester is a Checkline PR-9

1.75" has been my courage limit, and the runner turn is not round, so a CSA "benefit occurs for the soft-square shape in the turn.

The legend i heard is the bowl is eggshell on the far/long wall, so i tread lightly there for blending to the seat.

Geez you know, im not a pro, nor on the job for PMD head porting, but I sure as heck feel familiar with the issues.

I believe that Checkline makes those testers and the PR-8V from Checkine is over 200 bucks cheaper then the sourse stated above.

Joe, with a D port head and a at best .180"wall thickness at your disposal everywhere (assuming no core shift and loss due to rust) , even going for a 88% valve to throat percentage ( 2.11" valve ) and a matching circumference else where, will leave you with.055" thick port walls at best!

That's too thin for my liking on anything else but a race only motor where I can use ciramic sealer to add some reinforcement to the walls.

And yes, it's a pain to post up flownumbers on here if you do already have then on a chart to post up.
