Thank You very much I will relay the thread to the engine builder and Chuy. That information is the exact reason I not only start a build thread for every project I do but also tell everyone I know who is building a project to start one. No matter how much we learn putting these cars together you can never know it all. Knowledge, information, & forums=power.

Thanks for tackling that one for me I must have missed it. I guess the question was geared towards buffing out the paint, if for prepping to repaint just lightly scuff the edges but usually a small sand through on edges before paint won't cause too big an issue.

In this video I demonstrate my techniques for making sealed hydraulic lines for the power steering and brake lines.

Nice double flare tool. Does not look like the one I use at all.

Default More Firebird Build.

We start with a fire attempt = gone bad; no fuel pressure -fixed it, bad ecm -sent it off, faulty computer - fixed and in transit back to Tucson.

Then we put the front end on the body and start the rear disc brake conversion.

It's November 18th 14 maybe 15 days left still no fire, glass install, interior install, test drive... Can you tell I'm starting to sweat.

Damn computers, thats why I will stick to carb. Car is looking very good. I think you mentioned in one of the first videos this was to be a driver, funny how they morf into something a little more than a driver lol, or is this a driver for photofinish restorations?. If it is just a driver I would love to see one of your show cars. Can't wait to hear that beast come alive! I hope you meet your deadline.

It's not our full number one quality restoration but I wouldn't call it a driver either, more like a Sunday driver, down to the track or car show or out on a family cruise. Not much choice short of catastrophic failure it will be on a boat in Dec. might not have a carpet or full on stereo but finished enough to travel over seas.

Default We've Got Fire in the Hole.

First fire on the Firebird 400. Seems like a long road so happy to be at this stage, not quite finished yet but hitting the major milestones in stride. I hope you like the video.

Default 400 Hood Emblems Installed.

Alright, getting down to the wire the Firebird has been at the upholsterer's since Friday, it was driven there on it's own power. Carlos is getting after all the fiberglass panels getting them fit and ready for covering. Seats are almost fully covered and we are working on modifying the seat brackets (since Chuy is 2 inches shorter than a sasquach). Hoping for glass install Friday, car coming back to Photofinish Monday for road test and final details. The 10th of December our Firebird has to be in San Diego For Shipment to Germany.

Here is the video I made of installing the 400 Hood Emblems.

Default Motor Mounts?

Hello,

I am looking to find out what motor mounts you used. The actual mount that bolts to the block. I have a similar build going on and sure wish I could find out what mount you are using.

I have the same subframe and "motor stands" that you used in this build. I just need to find the mounts that bolt to the block.

Thanks,

Mike

This tread is about a year and half old.

I am trying to get some information about the motor mounts.

I hope he replies to both of us.

This is my posting about this tread.... I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
