Default Engine 2 Dyno w Custom 12-1 Crank Trigger, Finally Done Correctly

Not gonna get into the 1st engine build mess from a prior thread, but the actual engine aspect is finally over and done correctly. The resolution with first shop will now begin.

Here are the dyno details..

ENGINE SPECS
461ci stroker (forged)
11.7 compression
Tested after pulls, cylinders 205-210psi & 3-5% leak down cold.
Voodoo Hyd Roller 231/239 & 110LS and total lift with 1.65 rockers is .583/.605
KRE High Ports as cast
Holley 1000cfm with 1" spacer
Torker 2 (maybe ported) with flange adapter for KRE
Doug's 1 7/8 headers
Holley HP V5
Custom 12-1 crank trigger, we made brackets
120lb injectors (yes too huge but they idle great)

PEOPLE
Engine rebuilt correctly by Randy at PER in Plainfield IL
Tuned by Don Bailey (he got 7% more power vs 1st tuner)

RESULTS
Chasis dyno
606tq and 569hp
93 Pump
34 degrees timing (Don varies increments to engine need)
High 12s AFR (ratio changes to needs & Don calculates)
-1.6 vacuum @ WOT

After comments....
Timing with 12-1 Trigger was dead nuts vs Dual Sync issues.
It's clear the intake is hurting power, not sure it's actually ported like I paid for from prior shop (sloppy).
I can't believe 93 could safely do this but Don and Randy were confident I'd be fine, it appears so as spark plugs looked good too.
Driving with 550tq+ from 3k rpm through 5500rpm should be fun.
I guess I'm shifting at 6k rpm, no need to go higher really.

Future...
Cars setup for ethanol so I'll do an E map with Don and run E30 to save the $1 per gallon over 93. Possible dyno session to see if E added any power and try a tunnel ram filter base idea vs 3" air cleaner.

Nice power for that size cam!

If you end up doing that possible dyno session and have 1.5 rockers I would love to see you try a pull with them on the exh only.

Nice numbers.

Is the injection batch or sequential?

Yes something in the intake track is holding it back -1.6 vacuum @ WOT is to much.

Looks more like an engine Dyno than a chassis dyno

Hahaha, I meant engine dyno and for some reason said chasis dyno. WTH

I've heard others say to go smaller on the exhaust rockers, I'm missing something here since you'd assume more lift should be more flow but there's probably variables and velocity aspects I'm not aware of.

Tuner Don changed the fuel and ignition in HP so when I get the tune out of HP I'll know which ones. If I remember correctly he wasn't real excited to see the original tune was not setup correctly and he had to start from scratch and get all the math and voltage etc dialed in. He knocked it out exactly how you'd want in the end.

Still have the TH400 but with the 10" PTC 0 stator and it came in at mid 3% slippage.

Very nice build! Great info. Really interesting combo of compression ratio/cam/pump gas. Good job sticking with it, should be a LOT of fun. Mine made peak power at almost the same rpm, I've been shifting at 5800 and getting my best et's.

I’m Suprised a high port Motor needed 34* timing on pump gas maybe it’s camshaft related or efi related?
My 511 11:1 liked 28-29 w 330 kres
Different 400 hiports on my 540 13:1 on race gas and I’m
In the low 30s both carbed but wildly different camshafts
Might be some
Power and safety moving lower

Another Voodoo cam success story, like was already said those are very impressive numbers and an impressive torque curve for a 231/239 @.050 hyd roller.
