Maybe it says something on the shipping record. It's pretty hard to read, I'll have to see if I can scan it. I haven't looked for the build sheet yet.

I've never seen one of those shipping records before. The original owner of my 72 kept everything including the window sticker, but he didn't have that.

Still haven't figured out where the 734 option was in the order or accessorizer forms.
I wonder if it would be better to look for the UPC instead of the Sales code number?

W70 would apply to the GT option.
Where the 734 may mean something different across the different models.
(Like Firebird, Bonneville, GP etc.)

I show 734 in 1972 as Protective Rubber Bumper Strips, but not sure for which model. 734 is also the GT option for the D37.

Just took a peek at the binder for what I call the Dealer Order Album, and the imprint actually sez "Dealer Sales Manual".

I'll be posting a fresh hi-rez scan of the entire '72 LeMans sections as soon as I can finish scanning it in. As you will see, the LeMans Sport has it's own short section!

Unhappy

Tried to upload the 1972 LeMans section from the Dealer Sales Manual , but it's 27 pages at 600DPI and WAY too large of a file to upload.

Anyone who would like a copy just e-mail me at lbcoulson@comcast.net and I'll reply with the pdf file.

Sorry!

Will upload it to my “Factory Literature” page at some point.

I'll have to see if I can read the PHS, it's pretty light. When I received the PHS they had traced the info before it was sent on one of the copies. I don't currently have a picture of the lower part of the PHS. I'll dig it out tonight and see if I can make any better copies of it.

The building is currently be used by St Vincent De Paul.

Do you know how many WW4 cars were made? I saw a production number someplace that indicated about 125 cars. Do you know if this is correct? Thanks

Thanks Lloyd.

Do you know if the GT option had to be ordered with the WW4 package, or could you get a regular Lemans with WW4?

I hate to sound like a Ford guy trying to break down how many cars came with ashtray delete and poverty caps But did the WW4 cars come with the GT Option and the Sport option? Then add on the T41 package.

This car has a build date of 06A, but wasn't sold until October 25, 72, So my guess is it sat on the lot or was used as a demo car. So I think the dealer may have ordered the car.

The WW4 option was available with or without the GT option. Available on all '72 2-door LeMans except convertible and Luxury LeMans.

WW4 info from Dealer Seals Manual is attached.

Pggto, as mentioned prevously, your '72 LeMans GT hardtop is only the 3rd '72 LeMans that have info on that the car was equipped with the WW4 option. Of the other two, one was a Wilderness green '72 LeMans hardtop that I stripped near 3 decades ago. It was not a GT as i sent off for Pontiac docs on it before PHS started up. Definitely one I regret pulling all the goodies & not trying to save, the other is a Coupe. Have a bunch of photocopies of '72 LeMans GT invoices & all but one other than yours are 14x7 wheel cars.

I have a guy feeling that this '72 GT road test from March 1972 was a WW4 car.

Please note the stillborn ducktail rear spoiler. TOO COOL!
