Default They got me again!

Bought this rechargeable toothbrush a while back, threw it in a drawer and forgot about it. Spring cleaning and decided to charge it over night and give a spin. It doesn't spin and will never spin because there are no contacts between the charger and the toothbrush to charge the battery. I guess the charge magically flows through the insulator. UL listed too! lol

Care to guess where it was made?

There are no contacts because the contact is magnetic. It’s essentially a transformer with an air gap....

So the lack of contacts is not a defect, it is the design. Much safer in wet environments than contacts.

True what Don wrote.

But if it didn't charge up ANY over night - the battery has probably gone defunct from non-use , sitting without a charge for too long.

Give it 24 hours on the charger just for kicks.
Maybe even try to run it while it's still engaged to the charger after 12 hours.

Ours works & charges just fine. Leave it on the charger for a day or so to see if it comes back to life.

That's how my Sonicare works - there's no traditional "contact." I've been using those things for 20 years now.

The sonicare brushes have a light on them to indicate that they're charging. Does yours?

I was perplexed...then intrigued by this years ago with a toothbrush.
Know as inductive charging. Newer I Phones do this also, not sure if it is the same technology...vehicular, lay your phone on the console and it charges.

Precisely what it is..kind of a transformer without a iron core connecting the two pieces...the magnetic field from the base goes thru the plastic to the hand held side.

I do.

Bought on clearance to replace the AA one I was using and decided I didn't want the counter clutter.

LOL, operator error on the inductive charging. Instructions didn't mention it and I charged overnight. I thought maybe it worked that way but seemed too sophisticated for a cheap toothbrush. Last one I had used a recessed center contact.

I just lowered the battle flag and surrender to our Asian overlords..
