Default 73 GTO Trim Tag

I just purchased a 73 Gto and am having trouble determining if it is a sport or a sport coupe. Trim tag has 2AF37. I am only finding 2AD37 or 2AF27. Thanks

Congrats on getting a 73 GTO!

Yes, 2AF37 would be a Sport Coupe.

Of course, normally a Sport Coupe has quarter window louvers. That's the obvious clue. There were some Sport Coupes without louvers, when that became optional on 1/30/73, but they are very rare.

I'd like to see a picture of your trim tag too. Thanks.

Also, the 64 means the paint is Ascot Silver. The 556 means black interior. The B means black vinyl top. 01D means it was built the 4th week of January 1973. A51 is bucket seats.

Yes it is the one that was on Facebook. Going to take a lot of work but I think it’s worth saving
