What's the answer to this question??
Been working with a fellow in France and he is trying to figure out what the 2nd switch under the dash should be. He has a rear speaker switch now so I told him it had to be power antenna or power top and it should be pretty obvious. I also told him it could be a reverb switch but not if he already had a rear speaker switch. Here is his reply in French, "Rebonjour, apparement ce serait une commande d antenne ou de capote.auriez vous cela ? ".
Translates to "Well, apparently it would be an antenna or condom control, would you have that?" Must be an option I never heard of....................you? Why is it always me?

???
“Why is it always me?”
Well Richard, I mean Bob, Because it’s YOU. I’m assuming this is a 64 you and your France fellow are dealing with? If it’s a 64, the “rear defogger” switch would be located down under, or a power top.

Condom ... = "cover" = convertible top.

Capote means hood or bonnet, but I believe that, unlike British, they could mean the soft top.

I just asked my daughter who speaks french and she said that it (almost) litterally means soft top. I say almost because the words are reversed like many languages.
