Default 69 firebird 400 front springs what are you running

What's everyone running for front springs on your birds. Have a 1969 400 convertible that rides a little to high for my liking. Supposed to be stock springs.

I run a pair of DSE 550's in my 69 Firebird convertible. These are however a 2" drop, I also run a pair of 2" drop DSE rear leafs. I really like the stance.

I bought stock springs for my 1967 and 1969 Firebird 400 convertibles.
Both are the perfect STOCK height.
You have to buy from the right vendor.
These guys get it right;

A+ on Detroit Eaton spring service, not applicable to your application but I purchased a set of rear coils for my 67 GTO from them and they were spot on perfect.

Using them with the Hotchkis upper and lower tubular a-arms and the Hotchkis "Fox Racing" shocks.

My 68 Firebird Convertible has an LS-1 / 700-R4 engine/tranny conversion; anyone got front coil spring recommendations for that config? I want to keep the level the same. Thanks

Sprint 68, go onto DSE website and see their offerings for the lightweight LS engine. This is all scienced out already. Their products are top shelf !

I couldn’t find a “LS light” option as such; also even though I’m sure they are top of the line, the $200+ range is a bit more than I’d like to pay.

I'm running regular stock moog's with one coil cut off. They are 26.5" to the fender crease.

Spirit, DSE springs are advertised as either for the lighter weight aluminum LS or cast iron. They do not specifically call them anything special such as "light weight". They just mention that if you are utilizing an aluminum LS serieis engine that the 550# springs are recommend. Yes, their stuff is pricey but as the saying goes "you get what you pay for"...and I would have to agree. I have their upper and lower control arms, front and rear springs, offset shakels, mini tubs, sway bar, all DSE shocks, etc...the car handles like it is on rails.

Thanks. That’s about 650 lbs. vs 430 for an LS.
