Sharing simple combinations might make a difference for the person who is considering a Pontiac engine vs. another Chevy. In bracket racing reliable & repeatable power is key. Ask Jeff Verdi and Jerry Loan. For the price of this engine I could have called Reher Morrison and had a 565 that makes more power. I didn't because that's not my brand. Trying to prevent the Pontiac engine from extinction and supporting Pontiac vendors is part of my DNA. PM me if you want more details on the combo.
Hi Arron,

You have a really great build, you and Bill should be proud.

Your motor makes more power then 80% of the Pontiacs that raced at Norwalk during the Pontiac Nationals.

Thanks for sharing the details.

Track update since we dont' race dynos....This engine in my 95 Bird went a best of 5.409 in the 1/8 this weekend at 1600DA on an average track. Car weights 2700 lbs. Should put it in the 8.40's in the 1/4 mile. I'll report back after running BIR 1/4 track this weekend.

Thanks for the update
So how does that 1/8 compare to the 955hp 8.37@161 that's in your signature?

The engine in my signature ran 5.30's in the 1/8th. Weight of car has changed since signature. I'll weigh it at BIR this weekend and report back. Trying to share some data to help others who may be building similar bracket combos.

Ran the new engine in my 95 Bird at BIR this weekend. Car ran between 8.40-8.45 with DA's between 1100 and 1800. Track was good. Wind varied from tail wind to head wind. Very happy with the new engine. Car now weighs 2630. This is down 120lbs from when I last weight it at 2750lbs.

Saw Aaron win the Gamblers Tree money in Huntsville a few years ago. Got in on a whim and won good money.
