Moving in the right direction:
Removed the KYB rear and nicely surprised when I removed the front shocks.
I expected to see Monro stamping because they were Blue but instead it was "Herb Adams by Moroso"
And I remembered after his company VSE kinda fizzled he teamed up with Moroso back in late 80's - early 90's.

With some machining, I fabbed up some mounts and fitted a set of oversized 55mm Beltech shocks which accommodate the car's weight much better than traditional size shocks.

GT style springs and finding bigger sway bars will most likely be next season.

Going to tweak the stock 525 CFM AFB again, good gas mileage carb...

No wonder from carb size the GP engine was 350 HP and very same engine in GTO with 750 Qjet was 365HP

That's crazy, having those shocks on the car!!!
I keep wondering if there's an O.E.M. Disc brake spindle that could fit your car, using stock ball joints and control arms....?

Big car disc will fit but I'm happy with all drums.

1967 spindles are the same for disc and drum.

Steve, did the big Pontiac's use thee 4 piston calipers in 67 like the big Chevrolet's?
The big Chevrolet's went to the single piston calipers in mid 68

Since shock install and new tires the game has changed!
Rides and handles well for a Full Size!
Been ripping up Southern NH & Mass...lol
Went to a friends detail shop & took seats back out and steam machined every piece.
He has a Delorean he is restoring so I looked over the engine.
Took the GP out Sat night and went to a gravel pit to put it on the scales... 4,140 lbs
Tuned a 56' Chevy Truck and and owner did some creative handwriting with the rear tires...figure eight I believe that was...
Took a ride on a 46' foot Outer Limits Cigarette boat 100 mph felt like 60 mph
Just did a 90 mile round trip around the state
Stopped up Pontiac Engine Master Lenny Caverly and him & his family are raising a barn of Old English style.
Hit Five guy's in Dover NH, this car loves the open road!
Getting some wheel time back from all the effort put in so far!

Attempted to get my instrument cluster to light up...no dice
All I got was the clock, radio & heater control to light up.
I lost directional lights in dash....
Anyone know how the gauge cluster comes out?

Steve,
Thanks for the invite and bringing along two other fine examples of 67 GP....sorry we didn't talk more.
We took all back roads starting with RT 113 in Tyngsboro MA and down RT 111 to Ayer to name a few.
Very nice ride and the car ran without a hitch.
A total of three 67 GP's in one place!
I did talk quite a bit to the mother & daughter next to me with the white car.
They had said they did own a Black 67 GP many years ago...I said maybe my car is it?
She responded by saying the one her & her husband had was Black on Black.
Looking at her car I was surprised of the window sticker price tag... $ 4,740.00 in 1967...expensive car for that time.

Although many delays with other priorities I did meet my goals of being able to drive it.

The mother and daughter are friends of mine. The father was at the meeting. A mutual friend bought that car around 1999 and they bought it from him.
