That's exactly what I was thinking. I'll do something like the the PTF deal with a few improvements. I remember the VSE bars but never had a good look at them.

I'd try putting more 'preload' or 'smack' if possible on the passenger side of the rear.
I'd also limit the travel of the driver front suspension some to let the front come up more level.

I'd be surprised if adding those bars help level the car out. I don't have those bars. But maybe in wrong.

I think the roll cage is your best bet, but agree it's worth a try.

I still have some original Herb Adams bars. Those and the A6 compressor surer made getting to spark plugs a pain!

When you look how much the front subframe sags after you put jack stands under the front door/firewall area they have to help some.

I agree....are the installed currently? Would it be much bother to post or email me a couple of pictures?
