Thanks for the pictures and all the work for our hobby... It would be very valuable to have similar shots of e-heads, kre, wenzler, factory etc....

Hey, the casting quality looks better than High Ports. When Dave is done with them we will know a lot more.

We've also sent a material sample to be tested and the composition mapped. Then we'll know how strong they re and what they're made of.

Default SpeedMaster Heads Material Test

Thanks to Scott Roberts we have the tests back on the SpeedMaster Heads. I know not everyone can understand these results but what it comes down to is, as Scott states it, "Basically the aluminum is good quality A356".

Good material, good machine work, good price. Looks like a good head.
$1799 a pair complete with free shipping. PayPal.me/RPMtv

The tensile test put it right at the bottom scale of 6061 and top scale of A356..to be honest , I was surprised by the quality of the aluminium since it was Chinese.....

The Chinese have been infamous for dumping junk quality parts on the rest of the world. The same was true of vacuum tube production. If you wanted to see smoke from your electronics, a set of Chinese output tubes was sure to get the job done. They were even worse than the Russian consumer crap.

Once perestroika took effect, Russian tube manufacturers were forced to look for other clients, outside of their military. Turns out that Russian military tubes were very well built. Many of their tubes are interchangeable, or very close to European/American tubes. They have pretty much been the go-to guys for quality new production.

Someone finally convinced the Chinese to try making and selling a high quality line of tubes. they hired the right people from England, locally and elsewhere and now there are superb Chinese tubes to be had.

Psvane, Treasure, Genalex Golden Dragon are a few examples. They are not cheap, but they are high quality.

Bottom line is that the Chinese CAN make high quality parts for our consumption. Trick is finding the correct sources. Speedmaster has evidently done just that. I wish them well!

This is a complete idiotic comment. Why so many people don’t trust internet experts.

If you want to make an educated comment, purchase both heads and do real testing. Send it to someone who can actually test the hardness of the heads, the casting quality, machine work etc...

It looks like an edelbrock head just copied without their name and the ports further developed. Just my distant observation without buying the head, this head will not out perform the KRE HP.

Clearly it will never out perform an HP head... but the quality of the head seems to be good by the tests performed and the cut away sections...
This head will fit in the budget build street performance class in my opinion... It looks like a good option for the masses... I would run it on a weekend cruiser.

Hey creep, you crawl out from under your slimy rock to crack on a old post ? And a very basic one at that.
Everyone else knew what I meant. They have checked out to be good quality casting and the aluminum itself looks to also be of high quality.
Now when Dave, a truly talented head porter does a few ports and gets the results in we will know a lot more.
Is that too complicated a statement for you ?
And I made the post to be nice to Randy. He is a true Pontiac die hard. I am friends with one of his pals from way back. He has wanted to start his own dedicated Pontiac business for a long time and finally done it.
Its a good story and we all should be happy for him.

There is a genuine market for Pontiac head packages. This price for 310cfm, this price for 340cfm and on up. Simple basic this price for this level of performance.

Don't you have a house to paint or something ?

BTW, the KRE comparison was simply about casting appearance. I do not think this head will out perform the High Port.
And these are one more nail in the CV coffin.

BTW, I will not respond to you any more on this thread. Too much respect for what Randy and Dave are trying to do. If you want to take it to the Clubhouse I am more than fine with that. Keep them out of it. slowbird and chiefblowhard too. These people are doing something difficult and so are the Warp 6 GTO guys.

You own KRE heads, your heads look bad? Poor quality? If so way you running them?
I wish him luck with these heads. I just wish he'd offer something new, like iron replacements.

Even from the "Cheap Seats" I can tell this is going to be good.

Hi Calvin,
You may have missed it or just didn't invest the time to read the previous posts, but High Performance Injuns has done the testing and provided the information and provided the flow numbers and sliced up a head for your viewing pleasure.
Whatever history you and Dragncar have please take it outside of this thread. Thank you.
