Default 1964 Lemans Convertible For Sale

My personal ride. A car I graduated high school with, but it belonged to someone else then. A true Arizona car, born with a 6 cylinder and 2-speed trany. I bought the car in 2004 and drove it from Phoenix to my home in Safety Harbor, FL (Clearwater). I drove it for 3 years and then rebuilt it...what I called a Restrification. I finished that rebuild in 2009 and it has been driven about 2000 miles or so. I wanted it to look vintage, but run strong and drive like new.

Today it has a professionally built 455 (0.030 over) with roller lifters, roller rockers, TRW flat-top pistons, ported 6X-8 heads (about 9:1 compression so it will run on 87 octane!), custom built/tuned Quadrajet, vintage Edelbrock Performer Intake manifold, Ram-Air ceramic (inside and out) cast headers, 2/5" exhaust with Dr. Gas cross-over, re-curved HEI distributor, lots of engine goodies, built CRC Turbo 700R4 trany with 2700 stall and full lockup torque converter, custom Griffin radiator, fresh engine and trany rebuilt in Sept 2017, seat upholstery completed in 2017, 200 amps Alpine PDX-410 amplifier powering Memphis 15 door speakers and an Earthquake SWS-8 woofer in the trunk (it's under the top and takes up little room) and Pioneer minis in the dash, and a Classic Auto stereo head with a iPOD in the glovebox that plays 100s of 60s R&R. A full Global West custom front suspension that lowers the front 2" and makes the handling awesome, late model GM 11" disc brakes up front and a late model GM dual master cylinder with tailorable bias valve pushing 9" finned drums in the rear (the brakes are terrific!), factory boxed links at rear, BOP 3.23:1 gears with Auburn PRO limited slip and Toms Kick Ass axles (with the very low 1st gear of the 700R4 it is like a Turbo 400 with a 3.90:1 ratio). This car really moves out, sounds incredible and handles like a modern high-performance car.

With a dark blue top and dark blue interior and Skyline Blue paint (the car was painted over 25 years ago before I owned it) it still looks good. There's a custom 4-spoke steering wheel connected to a 1985 TransAm close ratio steering box (3 tuns L to L). RAAMAT and Ensolite insulation/sound deadening on interior panels and floor. Hydraulic top, power steering, auto trany, Classic Auto Air A/C. American Racing 16" Torque Thrust polished wheels. This car is a show winning, fun, fast, comfortable ride. And it is a Lemans, not a cloned GTO.

Asking $25,000

See my profile for a photo album on this car. Call or text eight 28, 4 two one, nine 83 two. I'm reluctantly selling it to finish another project.

I don’t know if the issue is on my end but I couldn’t view the photo album pics. The boxes were all blank.

Even though his photos appear to be ‘blank’, if you click on each one of his thumbnails the photos will appear.

thanks All. I noted right away my "cover" photo in the album didn't appear and then the album's photos show only as an icon. As Deuces says though, if you click on the little icon, they will appear. I'll see if I can't fix that. I also have more photos to upload and I will edit what is there to say what each photo is., rather than just a number. I will also upload some pics here for convenience.
It really is a great car, had it at the Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge 2 weeks ago, had great comments and interest but no one talked money. That is the first time I ever offered the Lemans up for sale.
The car does look good and it has won best of show before, still it needs a paint job. There's flaws in this paint and it is showing its 25 years of road use since this paint job.
I'll upload some interior pics in a few minutes.

Default More Pics

Here are some more pics. I tried to fix the Album at my profile, but I cannot. If you click on the icon, the picture will appear. I did add pics to the album and also descriptions of each pic. I've been asked about the mileage. The odometer reads 139,900. It no longer works but that is when the engine was first built and I'd estimate I put 2000 miles on it. I had a lifter problem and I pulled the engine and totally rebuilt it: new pistons, cam, bearings, pushrods, roller lifters, etc.; I cleaned the heads and lapped the valves and re-installed the Harland Sharp rollers. This work was done at a very competent machine shop under my supervision. I also had the trany refreshed by CRT Performance Transmission and replaced the lockup Phoenix torque converter (2700 rpm stall). That work was completed in September, 2017 and I've driven the car perhaps 400 miles since. So to answer the mileage question, I'd say the actual mileage on the car is 145,000 with all major components (suspension, drive line, brakes, rear axles, etc) with 2400 miles on them and the engine/trany combo has 400 miles on it.

Sweet car, sweeter deal. Maybe I'll see it around. I'm sure it will show up at the Syracuse Nats next year.
