Since I’m not bringing a car this year, guess I will have to go for the beer award

Wasn't there a "No Fat Chicks" bumper sticker on the cart? You should have considered that fair warning.😜

I wish people would learn how to pull into Linders lot! It’s a Chinese Fire drill every year!

Speaking of Chinese Fire Drill, have you seen or heard of the new parking rules in track?

Quote:
DRAG RACER'S IMPORTANT INFORMATION
A Drag Race Entry DOES NOT guarantee a pit parking space if you do not have a race car.
We reserve the right to move a non-racer to the North 40 parking to accomodate a racer and his car.

Linder’s Lot opens at 8:00 am on Thursday, August 1
You will be given a number and directed where to park.
At approximately 3:30 pm we will start calling numbers and start selling/exchanging entries.
After you have your entries you will be directed to the pit gate on Route 601.
ONLY Racer's can hold a pit space / No extra vehicles will be allowed in without the racer.
The Racer will need to pay for any additional vehicles that will be parked in his /her pit space.
Extra Motorhomes or travel trailers need to fit in the racer's pit space

Those are GOOD rules......they just need to enforce them. Race cars should always come first!

Had some terrible luck trying to get going. After finally getting the trailer loaded noticed had a low trailer tire. Tried airing it up, only to realize it had a bad valve stem. Get the spare on and finally are loaded and ready. Get about 2 hours of sleep and hit the road, make it about 15 miles and the truck lays down on me. (Duramax, think it’s a fuel related issue). Turn around and limp it back home, hop in another pickup and hit the road again.

I’ll be there, without the car. Aggravated as can be, been busting my butt past month trying to make this trip with my 65 race car, guess it just wasn’t meant to be this year.

My plan was to bring my street strip car after freshening the engine. Crank was cracked and had some other issues as well. At least your going to see some good racing and be around good people
