Brake Bleeder dust caps?
Were dust caps used on 68-69 brake bleeders? I can't say for sure if I have seen them or not, But while looking at something else I stumbled on a vendor advertising caps for 69-77 cars.
I don't see them in any illustrations from the 68 service or assembly manual, so I am guessing they didn't exist, but thought it was worth creating a post. If they did exist back then I would think they would have been black? I do see them listed in Ames for 69 calipers as well, so maybe nothing in 68, 69 front disk only?

They split open after a few months on my El Camino.

I just did a brake job on a 72 GMC with original calipers, and they were on there
