Smile Been away too long...

Stopped coming here as often after Ames purchased PY, and then not at all. Interest shifted a bit, got more involved with playing music, still into Pontiacs, still have my Can Am, sold the funny car, but now getting ready to work on an '80 Firebird Esprit with my son by transplanting the anemic V6 with a 400 or 455. Just wanted to say hello and comment "boy, this place sure has changed a lot since I last frequented it".

Good to see ya back around Brian. Yeah things changed and we learned to live with it. It's still a better place than the other Pontiac forums out there. I hope you don't stay away but stick around.

GTO forum was good until the pay to play spammers showed up.
I don't read a Poncho forum to see spam about Walmart specials.

As a mod I dared question the admins and was booted from the site.
They ripped off all of us lifetime members who paid a member fee not to have to look at ads.
It's all about the money to them and they violate their own TOS for a buck.
Their loss is PY's gain.

I've seen an awful lot of forums come and go over the years for precisely this reason. Some forums that had so much traffic that you couldn't hope to keep up with it all, now reduced to just wikipedia pages in the annals of history. Sad when that happens, but it is inevitable as soon as you start making decisions based on money rather than honor and quality of content.

Yup, just a matter of time now, they should at least refund my lifetime membership fee since I not only cannot post but can't even read.
They just shadow ban you so others on the forum don't even know why or where you went.
Sadly the guys there that know their stuff about Pontiacs don't post here or if they do they use a different handle.
Once that handful guys leave there will be no reason for anyone to look at the site unless they need to know what is on sale at Wally World.

Brian, welcome back. It's been awhile for sure. Wondered what happened to ya. Life can take different courses at times as well I know.

Good to see you on here again and that you and your son have a project to work on together. I saw your Can Am at Norwalk so knew you were still hanging around. I thought when you get older you have more time to do stuff. NOT! Im not on here as much as I used to be either. Jim

About Us

The PY Online Forums is the largest online gathering of Pontiac enthusiasts anywhere in the world. Founded in 1991, it was also the first online forum for people to gather and talk about their Pontiacs. Since then, it has become the mecca of Pontiac technical data and knowledge that no other place can surpass.
