Default 65 over sensitive brakes

Changed my power brake booster for cosmetic reasons. Since change any pressure on pedal other than light causes all wheels to just about lock up? Put old booster that was working good back in, same result? Checked all wheels for leaks look fine. Re adjusted all , still same. Used same length rod to master, linkage in correct lower hole on pedal. Don’t know what I did or didn’t do correctly? Any help appreciated, thanks

The lower hole gives 6:1 ratio, you want the upper hole at 3:1....

Thanks for reply, could be wrong but read or thought that upper hole was for manual brakes?
