As usual, GM is behind the trend again. Now they have to work twice as hard to top the fugly over this one.....

Since GM canceled Pontiac and came out with that ugly ass New Camaro (that didn't look like a 69 Camaro)
I have decided that GM now stands for Group of Morons!
But I still have 3 GMC 's in my fleet.

their new logo looks like it should be on a cheap kitchen appliance. It should fit perfectly because it seems that's what kind of vehicles they are producing. What a load of crap

Yep. I don't think I could ever afford a new car, but it will be a Mopar. No more GM for me.

"The GM logo is far too brash and manly and needed to be emasculated "
Yup. looks pretty flaccid to me.
Kind of like their cars.

Now I can use lowercase for general motors and nobody will ever
know if it was intended as a slight or not. Like others have said, it's
straight up emasculation.

You own and drive a real car, a Pontiac, so you don't fall into the contemporary group of women I speak of. Yep, millenniums are the chosen group who will love this logo.

I'll be rolling over in my grave the day I see an electric motor stuck in the engine bay of an old classic Pontiac - and it is going to happen.

They are going under in 5 years. In 2022, the cybertruck and new $25k Tesla accelerates the death spiral of legacy auto.

All of legacy auto is going under. Mark my words.

To me, it looks like the change from a strong Upper case GM block to the soft curve, lower case gm, symbolizes the general lower level of importance gm has in the world market. Similar to what they did with the Oldsmobile logo, taking away the rocket and making it a swirling swoosh like a Toyota. Anyone remember "New Coke"? What do you think of it?
So the Space Force steals the Pontiac Arrowhead...

and now GM is Going from CAPITAL to lower case

Double downer

I have an idea-

Why don't they contract the job of the person that thought this up.

I'd say the new logo was a general mistake.

The logo represents everything that is wrong with the world we live in. It's a farce, and is fitting for an abortion of a car company that it has become.

With that said, I will continue to purchase brand new GMC trucks, as I have been extremely pleased with the ones I have bought. Also, I can't stand any of the others out there.

The "new" Camaro was never intended to look like a '69 Camaro.

Ford and Mopar did that and now they don't know where to evolve that look.

The next major change to the '69 Mustang was the '74 PintoStang...

And for the '70 Challenger the next gen was the '79 MitsuChallenger...

Once you go that retro, you really don't have anywhere to go based on the evolution of the product after that old retro design.

As already noted, Ford has already started selling their 'new' 4dr electric Mustang SUV... SMH - couldn't they have named it the Electric Escape instead???

I wonder how much the focus groups and market research were paid over how long to come up with that logo... and I also wonder how much of a bonus and pat on the back the executives who "lead" and "managed" the change were given as a result...

I agree, that is a uninspired, silly logo.

Logo's aside, it's about the product. I could care less what they change image wise. Show me the goods. That being said, if they changed the logo in an attempt to boost sales, then that's a failure in my mind.
