Have to be honest, probably was me & the 68 GTO, but wasn't the wife.

Wife was in the green dress & waving in the convertible right behind. Says she didn't smell the GTO exhaust.

Buddy was riding his Indian Motorcycle.

Figured it was probably you. Daughter lives in Madison, and sent me the pic, which she does every time she sees an old pontiac

Please tell your daughter THANKS for the photos! i guess you noticed my non-vanity plate was a lucky pick.

Seeing what photos i can post...well the pickins are slim when everyone was involved in the Parade.
4L80 workin.

GTO wanted to run hot depending on which way the wind blew. Starter was optional at the end after all that Header heat, so we got refreshments and it started right up after a 2-hour cool down. HO manifolds sound like a good idea.

I doubt it's nicer HIS. My car would get driven a lot more if I didn't live off a pig trail that used to qualify as a road.

LOL, we have same roads in Oklahoma. Insane amount of activity in oil/gas business is making them worse...Your pig trails have trees growning beside them, ours don't...
I watch Wayne Carini's show when he found the Stutz Bearcat in Georgia. That was cool, that place where the car was seemed to be a long ways from a paved highway!!!

H.I.S. very nice!!!

Nice car and mug It is fun putting faces to names we have seen and the words they have written, and usually the face is nothing like what we imagined. In this case, we should have trusted his role model pic

There's got to be better options than losing the headers...
All kinds of wrap for heat insulation...might be able to utilize a little wrap on header pipe...Mr. gasket used to sell a 12" by 12" piece of gasket material to make your own...although this was a bunch o years back, it might have been asbestos...

I have RAIII manifolds on my T/A, heat problem with the starter. I put a 'heat insulation blanket' specifically designed for such with no luck. Starter crapped out and I replaced it with a mini starter, no more problems.

I've seen things that wrap on the starter...wondering if that allows that starter to get heat soaked from no air on the body of the starter...

Then there's a shield for the solenoid...seen those factory on older stuff...
