the auction presentation was nice except the line about "personalizing" the car is NOT hacked, and face it, many who would buy one, want to drive it. I bet the offer was 20K

Probably won't bring what he's asking but you couldn't touch a car like that for $8K in todays market. Maybe in 1996 but not 2006.

Not everybody is that hung up on original spark plug wires and missing washer bottles.

Not a knock against you jj but I'm telling you, the people who think of that kind of stuff as a dealbreaker are in the minority of car buyers.
