I don't have the build sheet, but the car ran on regular gas and has 256 gears in the rear. I wasn't going to do a PHS on the car. I think I'm going to have to get one done. The car only has 32,000 and change miles on it. My dad owned it from 1971.

Mine has the split back bench seat with a fold down arm rest. It also has an automatic column shift...are those very rare? And an 8 track player.

That bench seat is really comfortable with the arm rest down.

In my 69 PHS collection bench seats are not particularly rare and since my PHS’s over weigh the more “desirable” cars like judges etc the actual bench production was probably even higher.

Most bench seat cars have an auto on the column and they seem to have on average more options than the bucket seat cars. Bench seats with manual trans on the floor or the opposite, they tend to be strippers.

Had a 69, bench seat/3 speed. Power steering, power disc brakes. hideaways, and AM/reverb radio was it.

571 is headrest with out reclining seat on buckets . Believe it's a 68 only thing.
621 is ride and handling, not right hand.

Default 621 code on PHS

I don't know if this helps or not, but,
My 69 GTO RA III Vert PHS shows:
SPG SHKS R/H 4.21 621
REC LINE SEAT 42.13 578 (or could be 576, blury)
Yes there is a space in the word recline, typo?
PHS Dates are 4/17/69 & 5/15/69, dealer Royal Pontiac.
It has headrests and 1968 style release buttons on the side, not the back of seat.
Headrest are not listed separately on the PHS. I assume because it was after January 1st 1969 manufacture/delivery dates.

That paragraph from the 69 accessorizer correctly stipulates that the Y96 R&H option only included a bigger sway bar (front only) on fullsize cars (7/8" vs 3/4") and the non GTO A bodies (1" vs 15/16"). The Firebird and GTO with Y96 had the same swaybar as cars without the option (GTO=1" Fbird=3/4").

Depending on other equipment already ordered Y96 gave you stiffer springs but not all cars had stiffer shocks than without the option.

621 - R&H - cost more on a Tempest / LeMans than it did on GTO / Judge.
[unless the Tempest / LeMans was a SPRINT model]

The cars that it cost more on , were because they also got a larger sway bar in the option package.

The others already had the larger sway bar as standard. [GTO, Judge, SPRINT]
R&H was an included part of The Judge option package in 69.

What’s odd, is on 69 Sprint Firebirds the Y96 option is $9.48, same as both the 350 HO and the regular 350, on the 400 it cost $4.21.

Why it’s odd is that the 350 HO, the Sprint and RA 400’s had heavier duty suspension (extra rear leaf etc) but the 350 2bbl, regular 400 and the base 6 all had the light duty suspension as standard suspension.

In all cases (except the TA) all base and Y96 cars had a 3/4” sway bar.

As mentioned The A bodies seemed more logical with the GTO and Sprint having Y96 at $4.21 thanks to already having a 1” bar and the rest of the models being $9.48 but Y96 included a switch from 15/16” to 1”).

Why someone at Pontiac thought there was enough difference by adding a 1/16” to justify two different bars and two different sets of insulators is another story.

My former 69 Stick SPRINT Bird has 5-Leaf Stack rear. also had the 3.55:1 Posi, and ADJ Koni shocks (Factpry Options), HD Ride & Handling PKG. ( front bar did not look thick) car sat waay low & level to GND.

In-Dash Tach, Saw-Tooth Gauge Trio

Deluxe Interior, Belts & Leather Interior (1 of 9 ever made across 67-69 F- bodies)
Wood wheel, Dash inlay, Walnut 4-Spd Shift Knob ( no console).
Foot Pedal Trim
Tint & Shade, Soft-Ray
Dealer install AC
AF/FM with rear Spkr Fade.
PS coller, PDB,
Rally IIs with Rally Ii collapsed Spare & GM fill air bottle.
Protecto-Plate
and Special Paint.
Obviously an Custom-Order car by the Original Owner.

Mods: Clifford Header, Mallory Dual-Point&Coil ( I then put HEI to it). Moon 280 deg Cam( I later put Correct 69 SprintStick Cam in)

and Origional Owner Test-Drive Thrasing, after I got it all together. He approved.

Somehow "Rare" comes to my mind.

One of one comes to mind!

90+% of sprints were very basic 3 speed stick type cars.

Y96 (621) suspension option on a 69 GTO was only stiffer shocks and springs. Any 69 GTO ordered with power steering used N40 non variable power steering. GTO's were supposed to have received a 15 to one ratio version versus all other A bodies (Tempest-LeMans) getting the typical 17.5 to one ratio. I never stopped to look in a parts book to see if this actually happened. The N40 on a GTO was billed at $105.32 versus Tempest LeMans at $100.05.

All fullsize, Firebirds and Grand Prix had N41 variable ration steering as the only power steering option.
