Jeremy,

Good job on the frame. I just put my Chassis together this past summer and got the body back on it. Keep up the good work.

Regards,

Anthony

Rotisserie is done, car is no longer up on blocks or posts. I am kinda nervous about removing the blocks, is this normal? Is it a good idea to let it sit for awhile on a new rotisserie before removing the blocks? Or is it OK to use as soon as all the weight is on. This is my 1st time doing this.

Scraping is going well. I am using easy off heavy duty oven cleanerand following that up with simple green and a red scuff pad.

I am borrowing the parts from a friend, it was only half assembled when I got it. No plans that I know of, but if you are interested I could give you a build list.

One of the upsides to having to patch the floor is you take the old undercoating crap off with the bad section!

I have since been told that playing with undercoating is potentially hazardous and I have been wearing a respirator since.

Anybody want some cinder blocks? You just pay shipping!

Thanks ,build list would be cool to have. Don't think the undercoating is as bad as the sh*t from blasting, but I see in your posts you've been wearing a mask for that as well,,good!! My oldest son is out your way,,kind of,,will be graduating from college in Salem OR this coming spring. Nice part of the country,Oregon.

I'll get you that build list at some point. I actually lived in Eugene for 5 years and then Salem for 3 years or so before I moved back to the non-rainy side.

Almost done scrapin' stuff, even got a wheelwell done last night. If there is a zone to be in for scraping, I was in it! (The orange spot in the 1st pic is from the flashlight I was also holding - poor garage lighting) Now to grind welds on this side, and finish welding up a few hard to reach spots, mainly in the trunk. Floors are rock solid by the rockers, what you see is surface rust. Can you tell the pass side rear floor patch was my first patch job ever? Gonna take a bit of grinding over there.

Should that "pimple" be there on the wheelhouse? I didn't think so, but I also can't see a dent from the trunk side - maybe need to take another look. If not I'll hammer it back out.

That is my exact plan, going to use either DP90 or SPI epoxy. Then use that cool spatter paint in the trunk.

Meant to add that you can see the dimpled area just above and behind hinge support in posted pics of my 68.

Warmed clear up to over 50 so I painted the air cleaner. Had lots of pitting to clean up and a few dings too and I am quite pleased with how it turned out. Do they make a rubber seal that goes into the bottom of this, if so where can I find it?

Air cleaner looks great. Guess you don't like the 68 air cleaner?

Car didn't come with one, and I think the dual looks much better. I got a good deal on this one from a member here so it just made sense. Car doesn't have any numbers matching stuff so I felt it was OK to change it a bit with factory stuff. Converting to power discs & steering and will use ram air exhaust manifolds too.

This is how it looked when I got it:

Didn't get much done in december - kinda cold. It has been kinda "tropical" for over here this winter with temps in the 50s. Also I got a bunch of new garage lighting and it is much nicer working.

Now its time to focus on the motor. Once I figure out which throwout bearing I need the engine and trans are going in. Heads should get rebuilt in the next month or so.

Jeremy,
Thanks for posting all these great pics. Nice work! Inspiring too. Your crank and w/p pulleys caught my attention because the w/p pulley looks bigger than the crank pulley which underdrives the water pump. It may be nothing, it may be perfect resto, but so many of us have overheating issues that I just thought I'd say something.
