no power steering or brakes. Go straight really fast and hang on.
Really neat car. Get it fixed up and drive it again. Whats up with the stripe?

the original owner had those put on when it was new. i asked him what made him do it and he said something along the line of all cool cars were customized. amazingly he never changed one thing except the stripes and added the mirrors.

Thumbs up

You should move her up higher on your priority list, would be an awesome ride.

So what's parked behind her? Beside her? In front of her? Wow.

That was Mitch's car right Gary? Did he paint the scoops that way too or did the dealer leave them that color?

it was my car. i bought both of the ra2 cars out of salt lake city. both sold new there. i ended up selling mitch this car with a buy back agreement. he died a couple of years later and i got it back. the scoops were black on this one. however, the original owner of this one said that the ram air package with the black cut out scoops were in the trunk when he picked it up at the dealer. the other one, which is the blue car, the owner said the ra package was already installed when he picked it up. (both were special ordered according to the owners). another weird thing about the blue car, is that the front grills are totally blacked out in the center and dont appear to have ever been painted.

Atleast air the tires up!

Did it have an engine fire at one time?

So what are the build dates of the RA2 cars you have?

I have heard so much about the RAII as well.
What is it you think that made it faster than a RAIV? Or is there a known factor.

Also,
I vote for a boot in the ass for letting it sit so long without being driven.
Her soul is beggin to either be a driver, a survivor show car, or a restored museum piece.

Do you really think it's numbers matching all original?"

Dam it.
I need to find the original GM parts list bullitin for the RAII engine i found in the desk when i took over as parts manger in 83 at a Pontiac dealer.
It was separate cause the parts catalogs where already printed for that year.
Believe the crank, rods, cam, and balancer had a different # then the RAIV.
And of course carb and distributor, etc.
But could be the RAIV #'s superseded the II's when it came out.

I've known muscle collector for over twenty years now, remember the stories of him & Mitch racing the cars together - Gary's RA IV and Mitch's RA II - it didn't matter who was driving which car, the II would edge out the IV.

Is the Blue one still sitting where it was when the cable broke on the flatbed?

actually, alot of the racing between the ra4 and ra2 with mitch and i , it was mitchs expresso brown ra4 4 speed against this, (mine at the time) ra2 4 speed. yes we would trade cars just to make sure it wasnt driver superiority. the ra2 always won. mitch and i were very very crazy (but good) drivers. we both would take these cars out and drive the literal #@$% out of them and would speed shift them without even using the clutch. his ra4 seemed to be running better and better until one night we noticed it sounded like it was rattling a little bit more than usual. the next day we pulled the engine and it had 7 out of the 8 pistons cracked. he then decided to do a body off resto on it and unfortunately he died not long after before he got it finished.
