DOH!!!... You are absolutely right. The trunk lid shape is different in that area and probably does affect the distance...especially from the bottom edge. Disregard my measurement... Unless you are "future man" and found this thread next Tuesday while searching for the 68 measurement..lol

Getting ready to install the interior kick panels and was wondering what type of sealant is used if any to seal the kick panel so water does not come in. Also has anyone installed the kick panels with radio speakers? If so what are your thoughts of them and anyone have pictures showing how the look installed?

You shouldn't have any water behind the kick panels...so, no sealant...
