Default Fan shroud and 6-blade fan for '62 4-cyl

My '62 Tempest Lemans has a 4-cyl with a stock 4-bbl and it's not just a high-compression engine but a VERY high-compression and needs stronger cooling. If you have any of the 2 mentioned parts, please contact me!

Default 61-63 Parts Wanted

Hey Guys, Got my front fenders back from the "stripper" and the drivers side fender has some serious damage along the back by the inner re-inforcement bracket. Looking for a decent set of front fenders for a 63, preferably in the S.E. Michigan area, but I'll pay shipping from just about anywhere if need be.
Thanks,
JK

I replaced my heater core a few years ago and used an aftermarket core made by Spectra Premium part #94551. It was available at my nearby auto parts store. I also found another number and I think it is reference to the GM number and it is #399076. They are originally meant for a early 70's chevy van. One of the holes of the heater box will need to be made larger and I used a dremel tool for that.

how much did you need to grind out? looks like that part is easy enough to find. thinking about putting one in this weekend. also is it correct for the in and out ports to be straight out? the only pics online i can find of a 1962 tempest heater core look like they come out at a 90 degree bend?

I am not sure how much different the '62 is from the '63 but if you have enough clearance at the hood hinge area then the heater hoses could make that bend without kinking and restricting flow. If not then that core might not work for you. The size of the '63 heater core is 9 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 2 1/2". That size is for the finned portion. If you remove yours you can compare before shopping to confirm that it will fit the '62. I did not need to grind out very much to enlarge the hole, perhaps 1/8". Hope all this helps.

just looked at the car it, looks pretty easy to pull so i think ill take it out to measure later today. i guess in 62 there was an "old" and "new" style of heating system, the old style had a 90 degree bend for the in and out hoses. looks like i have the new style, which looks simpler with the inlet and outlet straight out the side

*** A little off the topic here - Wanted Parts ***

But,,, I purchased a new heater from Autozone, SPECTRA PREMIUM 94492. I had the local radiator shop change out the top tank, this is the exact same size as original in a 63. Good price too, $42.00.
