Still Looking
Still looking! One I just got was wrong year and returned. I am looking for the 1972 model and option Dealer Presentation Album. There were two companion books. One was colors and interiors. The other was specific model and option info. I have the interior and color one and need the other. Will pay top retail price!!!

If its brown I may have what you are looking for. I know I have one in that era but never looked at what year it was. You're going to have to give me some time to look though. I got buried in snow and have a lot on my plate these next few days.

I just found one. As an FYI, in 1972 they called them "Dealer Sales Manual". Not sure when they switched from Dealer Presentation Album. Still the thick binder style book.
Chief, if you have one, they go for decent bucks, can be very hard to find, and yours will sell quickly, most likely. This one took me a couple years to find. The last and only other 72 I saw for sale was a couple years ago and had pages missing. The companion interior and color 72 book is evidently easier to find, two are for sale now and I found one 2 years ago. I'll scan some pages as I get time for the appropriate forum sections, as the book covers all models.

Nope, definitely not the one I have.
The one I have shows various models with translucent pages you flip over to show what the car would look like with different trim options and such. |

That is what the color and interior one has, You can put different color vinyl tops on different color bottom of car. Also has all the vinyl samples glued to pages for each car. Retro primitive cool, ha, You have the companion book.

Now all I have to do is figure out what year it is because nowhere on it does it say. I'm going to have to get a good look at the drawings to determine the year of the cars. Might be a bit difficult as '70 to '72 were so close in appearance. |

those binders are super cool;
I did notice that the name of the binder/book did change, and that only adds confusion to matters. I picked up a 1976 model year one a couple years back, and it's pretty cool to thumb through; I'd love to get a 1970 book with the "70+" Firebird stuff (added to it after the start of the 1970 model year) in it.

Well, mine is definitely '71 or '72. Nowhere can I narrow it down. Perhaps paint color names?

an easy suggestion;
1971 was the last year of comfortweave; 1972 used a perforated vinyl as the deluxe material. 1971 Firebirds had fender vents and square grille pattern; 1972 Firebirds did not have fender vents (meaning non-TA), and have honeycomb style grille pattern.

There are paint colors with names, carpet samples and vinyl top samples. I'll have to see if there are interior samples and see if I can go off of your info. Thanks |

There are no interior material samples other than carpet. Carpet has 2 style choices, Deep Loop, Nylon-Blend and, at extra cost, Cut Pile, Nylon-Blend. Only models shown are LeMans GT-37, LeMans Sport, Fullsize including wagon and GP |

that's for 1971;
Curiously the deluxe 1971 brochure (bottom background) doesn't have colours, while the deluxe 1972 brochure top, foreground) does. The bottom foreground is a "1971 Pontiac Colors & Interiors" pamphlet. Like I said, collecting this stuff is one of those things I do.

Another picture of the four brouchures in the prior post;
Top foreground is the deluxe 1972 brochure; Top background is the regular 1972 brochure; The bittop foreground is the 1971 pamphlet with (authentic) paint samples; Bottom background is the 1971 deluxe brochure.

Thanks Jonathon, for the pics of brochures. I have the smaller 72 brochure, but not the larger with colors, didn't know about it. Found one on ebay this morning though Still waiting on the big album being shipped. Will do pic thread on 70-73 forum then.
