Default Older Stevens Savage shotgun value

My elderly father is giving me his shotgun and revolver to sell for medical bills.

It's a double barrel 20 ga single shot, model 311 . The revolver is a S&W model 10-6 (?) .38 double action. The pistol was sold to him about thirty years ago by a retired police officer, so I'm thinking it's pretty vintage.

Is there a way to look up old firearm values online, similar to the old "Shooter's Bible" price guide? I'd like to get somewhere in the ballpark on the price.
My Dad said he has a buyer (someone he knows by aquoaintance) but I don't won't him to be giving them away just because he's anxious to help me sell them.

thanks
