This car was for sale last year with 15K on it for $3500 with the original wheels/hubcaps. Here is the text from the original ad:

Pontiac LeMans. 2 Door. Only 15,000 ORIGINAL MILES, no misprint, runs great, good shape, no rust, still has the original tires on the car. Original belts and hoses. Factory AM radio, 301 V8 automatic, waiting for a new buyer to add their personal touch. Tires, rims, duals, etc etc...
Price - $ 3,500

Somehow, I don't think adding Rally IIs to it makes it worth $1300 more.

I certainly agree.
Now that you posted that other ad, I vagely remember that I might have seen that myself, although I have no idea where it was.

They will probably end up keeping it for a while.
There is a specialty dealer in Quebec that has an impressive inventory with some ultra LOW mile 70s cars. Called Jon Scotti or something like that. They have a '75 Lemans & '75 Ventura with under 3,000 miles each. Been advertising them in Hemmings for a long time with NO price. I emailed them four years ago for a price on the Ventura, and the response was $22,950 or aprox. I'm willing to bet that price has come down a fair amount, but I don't want to give them the satisfaction of asking again.
They also have a couple '87 Grand Nationals with super low miles.
Anyway, I bet if they got wind of this '79, they would probably buy it and list it for $8-$10 grand.

If it were a Grand Am in equal condition (miles), I would be happy to pay the $4800.
