Can't believe it's been 8 years already!

It was so nice here the last couple of days that both cars got out of the barn & cleaned up.

I noticed the new tractor....some of my best thinking and therapuetic time has been sitting on my tractor while bush-hogging, plowing, disc-harrowing and planting my food plots. Chris, the cars look great! I need to come to CT this summer for.a visit.

I was told that Michigan didn’t stamp plates in 1972. That they skipped that year and a couple other years. So the closest you can get is a red with white text 1971 plate that has a yellow “ 72 “ sticker (tag) on it. I was told Michigan stamped 1972 plates but they were “truck plates”.

I see a stamped 1972 blue and yellow plate in your picture. What am I missing?

Thanks.

czar97, not sure about the truth of your story but that's a 1972 Michigan Manufacturer's plate - the car companies would get plates with M as the third character & over the years I've picked up several from 1968 through 1979.

Thanks Gary & BJ, yeah, the tractor completes the Red, White & Blue in the picture - Massey Ferguson 1533, 33HP Tractor, Power Shuttle drive that I just picked up. 2007 with a little over 700 hours on it. Has the quick connect bucket that will take any of the skid steer attachments so I got a set of forks with it too. Supposed to lift 1900 pounds so should be helpful with the logs up at the new place. Need to get some remote hydraulics to the front & rear for other attachments but will mostly be used for mowing up at the new place.

...and yes BJ, you should get up to CT!

Manufacturer plate... that makes sense. I would think those are rare but certainly out there. Click image for larger version

Just to wrap up this story for everyone...my 10 year relationship (almost to the day) with Lucy ended this past fall. The car was traded with Phil Mitchell, for a 69 Trans Am thanks to Gary Riley. The car with it's collection of parts was loaded up by Brian Halloran (he found & inspected the car for me) and left here in late August.

The TA, part of Gary Daniel's collection for 20 or so years is a RA III/4spd with Blue Deluxe interior & stack gauges.

Pretty happy with the swap - thanks all.

That's great news Chris.
Congrats on the 69 TA , seems like I remember you had a hard crush on those.

Did the TA come without an engine ?
It looks light in the front, sitting on the trailer
