Default 1964 gto

Does any one know the correct thickness ot the butyl tape used to install frt.& rear glass , so the moldings will fit properly ?

I used the 3/8" it worked fine. The stainless trim sits flush to the body.

Been about 12 yrs.since I did mine but I think I used the 3/8 also.I used 7/16 first and the trim would not clip on for the rear window.That stuff is sticky.
