I like that but it’s got some cancer in some bad places. At least at that price the derby guys won’t get it.

Seems like crazy big money for a rusty mid 70’s wagon.

The seller is the editorial director for Grassroots Motorsports / Classic Motorsports magazines. There are a series of posts on their website about the car and the work he's done on it. https://classicmotorsports.com/proje...talina-safari/

Agree, but so few are left from the derby guys.

While it has some rot, I have seen much much worse, and it's all repairable. It's priced pretty fairly for a car with potential.

Agreed, not many left. The clamshells are cool. Interesting how the passenger front door panel was the only one to burn up the plastic. Maybe how it was parked. Nice project for a wagon guy with sheet metal skills.

Although I wouldn't tackle it, I figured many here appreciate the wagons.

The rust spots seems a little odd to me (in particular the one door), but it is from just outside Daytona Beach, FL so I suppose it's been subjected to ocean salt.

Looks like it originally came from Indiana. I wonder if it spent some time in both places

The seller has owned it for seven years, and he bought it locally, so it's been in Florida for a while. He said it was a one owner car when he got it, so maybe the original owners started out in Indiana and retired to Florida.

Properly fixing all the rust would be outrageously expensive. Top dollar to me would be $1000.00 it would have to serve as a parts car.
If a person really desired it for, say a driver, some of the rust could be sanded and painted easily.
