Default Reasonable cost fence gate

Standard residential chain link fence. I had Lowe’s install it 5 years ago. They put two “man” gates on each side of the yard and that’s been enough. Bought my wife a husqvarna 54 inch deck riding mower and it won’t go thru the gate. How much is too much to pay to have someone come remove the man gate and install an oversized gate?

If your man gate is 48", leave it and add another 48" man gate if it is practicle. You never know...... As far as $, stick with Lowe's.

$5,000 would be too much.

I’d say about $500, in my area anyway.

You asked how much for the gate, take old one out, and put a new one in. If you can have it done for $137, I’d jump on it.

Add anther gate to make it a double. Someday you might want to get something larger into the yard and you'll be ahead of the game. BTW... why not get what you need and do it yourself?

I've been thru the same thing, and making it a double gate was the best thing I did. I ended up with a Kubota G2000 with 4 Wheel Steering and a 60" deck.

Why do you ride my ass? I asked how much is too much to pay. Too much to pay ended up being anything over that. Geez people solicit advice and make conversation over all kinds of prices. I was just wondering if I could beat Lowe’s price and what people would expect to pay. In the end that was indeed the cheapest

If you had called Lowes first, you wouldn't have needed to bother posting.

You seem to have a tendency to make the easiest things difficult.
