One more way to identify. Frame width. The second design is wider. See attachment.

I don't see any screw holes in the aluminum frame on my car, but I do have the plastic trim piece that the arrow is pointing to in this photo. I have no idea which design I have.

Both designs use the small (approx 2" x 2 1/2" long) trim piece with one screw hole. Now if there are no screw holes along the perimeter of the frame, I would say you have the 1st design that does not use the long moulding around the opening of the roof.

I thought the same thing. THe only questionable item I saw that made me think I didn't have the 1st design is how the edges of the headliner look...if you would, look back at my pictures...is that really how it's supposed to look? Just the bare cardboard edge, and held in with the metal retaining clips for the weatherstrips? I can't believe that's how it's supposed to be, but what do I know?

Normally the 1st design gaskets wrap around the headliner edge. Kind of looks like the headliner was cut short, or the headliner was originally for a set of 2nd design frames. I will upload some more pics this afternoon.

This is were the 1st design gasket wraps around headliner edge. Check to see if you have the clamp and bolt, that's 1st design as well.
