Welcome to the board. Looking fwd to more info on your 71 1/2. Since the mid 80's, have owned thirteen 71 & 71 1/2 GT-37's, both as partcars & project cars. Began compiling the GT-37 Survey in the late 80's, an still adding info to it.

You don't hear about many "average" GT-37s that still possess their original engine and trans! That's cool! I'll add to the choir asking for pics, PHS, and any history you know. I've asked several questions here and have gotten many informational answers. Welcome!

I'm in the club, have had 2 but have one still - it's originally a 350/2bbl 3spd as well.

Post up the pics and the questions.

Since we know nothing about your car. I'd say it's hard to tell you anything with certainty...

Build date helpful, AC vs none, options effect alternator.

The pictures are coming soon. But may car is an average car. Nothing special. Just numbers matching. And need some body work. The previous owner tried to clone a GTO. So they removed the hood and trunk GT-37. But keep the originals . So I am in the process of putting it back.

Is this the car that you bought? Just curious because it sounds similar and its also in CA. I had my eye on it too but it was too far away
